A fabulous weekend of entertainment for all the family is planned for the first Essex Hot Air Balloon & kite Festival at Montpeliers in Chelmsford.

International and British Balloon & kite enthusiasts will join forces to present to Essex a host of exhibition kite flying and balloon flights, filling the Essex skies with vibrancy and colour. On the Saturday evening, accompanied by music and fireworks, the Hot Air Balloons will display their very special 'Night Burn'.

Other attractions included in this weekend is a traditional fairground, craft and food marquees, a beer tent, trade stands, static kites and an entertainment stage with Essex FM, BBC Essex, Bands and competitions.
